Sundays On Parade

Welcome to #SundaysOnParade!

If you’ve been with us since the beginning, welcome back and if this is your first Parade Trip with us then I hope you have a blast and join us again next week. 😀 If you have memories of seeing any of these parades in person, please feel free to share the memories with us. And as always, if you know someone who would enjoy these posts because they love parades, Disney, time travel or history please share with them.

Last week we took in Disneyland’s Hooray for Disney Stars Parade, celebrating the Disney characters we know and love. This week we are watching a mighty party as part of the park’s 35th anniversary. Disneyland’s Party Gras Parade ran during 1990.

This parade was in celebration of the 35th anniversary of Disneyland. It featured towering inflated floats. The theme was a Brazilian Carnivale, mixed with Mardi Gras elements. Also unique with the combination of a traditional parade along with a street party, all blended into one. The parade would stop at three points and a dance party would be staged. This time audience members were invited into the street to participate and form Conga lines.
